  • Under Faculty/Staff & Students, click Continue.

  • In the pop-up, click Continue again to begin downloading the Network Setup Tool.

4. Run the Network Setup Tool

  • Open the downloaded file: UVA-NetworkSetupTool-Standard.exe.

  • If prompted with a message like "Location has been turned off," click Got it.

  • Click Next to proceed with the installation.

5. Authenticate and complete the setup

  • When prompted, sign in through NetBadge using Option 2 (UVA Computing ID and password).

  • The setup tool will update its status as it completes the configuration.

  • When prompted, select the Eduroam network and click Next.

  • Once the setup is complete, the tool will report “Joined”.

  • Click Done.

6. Confirm you're connected to eduroam

  • Ensure your device is now connected to Eduroam (not UVA WiFi Setup).

  • If Eduroam is not listed first in your available networks:

    • Choose to Forget the UVA WiFi Setup network.

  • If Eduroam is not listed at all, you may be out of range.
